New Start YYC - OBJECTIVES
The objectives of New Start YYC are to:
- Ensure that the immediate and essential needs of newcomers arriving at the Calgary International Airport (including Government Assisted Refugees (GARs), Privately Sponsored Refugees (PSRs), Ukrainian evacuees, and other immigrants) are met
- Facilitate newcomers’ access to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)-funded settlement services
New Start YYC achieves these objectives by:
- Providing reception and assistance to newcomers arriving at the Calgary International Airport (YYC)
- Providing a general orientation to settlement services in Calgary and Southern Alberta
- Providing referrals to settlement agencies and broader services and organizations, including assistance destining newcomers to other communities within the Prairie Region

To ensure partners are engaged in our service delivery New Start YYC will form an advisory committee with includes but not
limits to the following organizations:
- Settlement agencies umbrella organizations across Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

- ESDC Representative
- P.S.R Representative for P.N.T
- Airport Authorities
- Philippine Consulate General - Calgary
- Consulate of Mexico
